After Action Report |
|
For the first time in many years we
had no feddies to play with. Therefore a Klingon civil war took
place. The Klingon ships where the IKV Black Dragon, IKV Bloodlust,
IKV Midnight Dagger. We had 4 complete WaterWar battles and each ship would earn points for participating and more for wining, plus there were points awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Kombat Kourse and the Artillery Competition. As in previous years we started the Kombat Kourse for those that arrived early. Targets were arranged so that using the CPS 2000 Super Soaker they were just within range. This year we had 8 targets and to make the Kourse even more difficult we used more water for ballast thus making the targets harder to knock down than usual. Now on to the WaterWar Battles. As usual we setup the Battlefield with the River sQral dividing the two sides with only a small bridge to cross the river. Step into the river and you instantly die from the extreme cold temperature. We divided ourselves with the IKV Bloodlust on one side and the IKV Black Dragon and the IKV Midnight Dagger on the other . To win you had to kill everyone on the opposing team and have a least 1 member of your own team still standing - there was some simultaneous kills. Battle Results #2 IKV Bloodlust - WINNER -
5pts for the ship. #3 IKV Black Dragon - WINNER -
5pts for the ship. Notable Kills where for the first
time in many years KataH was killed. In fact he was killed in 2 of 3
games. It was time to break for lunch as most of us where exhausted. After lunch we opened the Kombat Kourse for those that wanted to try it for the first time or to better their previous score. The next WaterWar battle, numbers 4, had the IKV Bloodlust against the IKV Black Dragon with help from a few onlookers. So for this game a target Worf was placed in the middle of the bridge and each had to capture him and execute him for High Treason. The objective was to grab Worf and bring him back to your side and then kill him. As it has happened in the past one team or the other forgets about the object so it was a very easy victory for the IKV Bloodlust as the IKV Black Dragon was just not aggressive enough and forgot to go after Worf. G #4 IKV Bloodlust - WINNER - 5pts for
the ship. The last battle was our typical "Fight until you run out of water" battle. This insures that EVERYONE gets wet. This is just for fun as no points are awarded. After last Battle, the Artillery Competition was setup. Teams of three had three water balloons to hit the target. The target was a Borg ship some 100 feet away. It would be easy to overshoot the target so you had to be careful. Many teams tried and some teams alternated their personnel between shots while others traded members to form new teams as the competition when on. Teams could be a mix of any ship and each member of the team earning an equal set of points After the Artillery Competition we resumed the Kombat Kourse for those that were interested.
